POLICIES FOR CATERING<br />

CATERING ORDER CUT-OFFS<br />

To ensure optimal selection and the best possible<br />

service, please book events at least seven business<br />

days in advance.<br />

<strong>Catering</strong> requests received less than seven days out<br />

will be accommodated to the best our abilities. An<br />

additional labor charge may be incurred if order is<br />

within 72 hours of delivery time and confirmed due to<br />

current labor rules pertaining to the Chicago’s Fair Work<br />

Week Ordinance.<br />

EMS ON-LINE ORDERS<br />

Orders put into EMS directly by the booking client will<br />

be reviewed and approved by <strong>NU</strong> <strong>Catering</strong>. Additional<br />

costs may be incurred based on the event style and<br />

added to the event order. The updated event order will<br />

be returned to the booking client for approval prior to<br />

execution.<br />

MEETING ROOM RESERVATIONS<br />

All catering requests must be accompanied by a<br />

meeting room reservation number.<br />

GUEST COUNTS/CONFIRMATION<br />

All guest count confirmations must be sent three<br />

business days prior to the event. Any count change<br />

closer than three days will be accommodated when<br />

possible. Orders are not confirmed without an<br />

approved and signed BEO.<br />

BILLING/PAYMENT<br />

Form of payment (chart string, credit card or check)<br />

is required at time of booking and to confirm your<br />

order. Checks must be received (5) five days prior to<br />

event date for the total amount of your event. Credit<br />

cards will be imposed a 3% processing fee and will be<br />

charged five (5) days prior to the event date. Orders<br />

are not confirmed without payment information.<br />

EXTERNAL CATERING<br />

A service charge of 30% will be added on to all<br />

external catering requests. Tables and cloths will not<br />

be provided with external catering orders even if they<br />

are above the Food & Beverage Tables minimum policy.<br />
