RESPONSIBILITIES<br />
The <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Grove</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> will lead in a collaborative but appropriately<br />
executive mode. The <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s responsibilities are primarily <strong>and</strong> ultimately to develop<br />
<strong>and</strong> implement the strategic plan <strong>of</strong> the school, but the following list details the various<br />
responsibilities that are woven into the role.<br />

Promotes the development <strong>of</strong> a servant’s heart among staff to facilitate ministry to the<br />
organization.<br />
Oversees the spiritual aspects <strong>of</strong> the childcare <strong>and</strong> school in cooperation with the<br />
pastoral staff <strong>of</strong> the church <strong>and</strong> nurtures positive relationships with children, students,<br />
staff, faculty, families, <strong>and</strong> the community at large.<br />
Oversees all administrative, early childhood, academic, <strong>and</strong> related programs to achieve<br />
a complete <strong>Christian</strong> worldview <strong>and</strong> educational experience in students ranging from six<br />
weeks old through grade 12.<br />
Oversees <strong>and</strong> implements the continuous improvement plan process, strategic planning,<br />
<strong>and</strong> campus development.<br />
Collaboratively establishes <strong>and</strong> meets performance goals <strong>and</strong> objectives with the<br />
Education Committee.<br />
Commits to maintaining excellent relationships with parents, faculty, staff, students,<br />
committees, <strong>and</strong> the leadership staff <strong>of</strong> the The Naz.<br />
Promotes a warm Christ-centered atmosphere within the educational environments.<br />
Maintains a collaborative process in decision-making consistent with the policies as<br />
outlined in the <strong>Grove</strong> <strong>City</strong> Church <strong>of</strong> the Nazarene Employee H<strong>and</strong>book <strong>and</strong> Education<br />
Policy Manual.
