Work experience abroad
since 03/2008 South Africa: Regional Advisor for Knowledge Management at the German
Development Service (DED) for the southern and eastern Africa, based in
Pretoria. Regular business trips to the countries of southern and eastern Africa.
08/2005 China: Research stay in Qinghai, China, as a consultant for the project “Renewable
Energies for Rural Areas” (GTZ): Data collection for a socio-cultural
baseline-report.
07/2003-12/2003 Uganda: Internship at the Energy Advisory Project of the Gesellschaft für
technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) in Uganda: Expedition to the districts
Mbale and Arua, interviews with rural households, compilation of two baseline-reports
for socio-cultural monitoring.
10/1996-10/1998 Paraguay: Home for street-kids „El Abrigo“, civil service: Lead of a carpentry
