Faculty members and students from Trine University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program presented research at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting, held in San Diego. The Trine group presented or co-presented two educational sessions lasting two hours each, one platform presentation and six research posters at the nation’s largest physical therapy conference. One of the research posters was Southwest resident Joseph Bodovetz, along with faculty Jenna Encheff and Nicole Walter and fellow students Brendan Werstine, Kyle Foerg, Joseph Bodovetz and Nicole Chatterson, presenting “Blood Flow Restriction Effects on Muscle Activation During Robotic Ambulation in Patients with SCI.” The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest, most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, inducted new members. They are among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10% of seniors and 7.5% of juniors are eligible for membership.
