give dru yoga a go. Dru yoga<br />
promotes both physical and<br />
mental well-being. It combines<br />
different movements like<br />
activations, energy block release<br />
sequences, postures, and a guided<br />
relaxation. These activities help<br />
reduce stress, improve focus,<br />
and bring a sense of inner calm<br />
and confidence. Whether you’re<br />
a beginner or experienced with<br />
yoga, everyone is welcome at<br />
this Dru yoga class regardless<br />
of their fitness level. A qualified<br />
instructor will guide you through<br />
the class, making sure you’re<br />

Leading Learners Teenage<br />
Driving Course<br />
Friday 8am-2.30pm<br />
Leading Learners is a dynamic<br />
driving course for <strong>Selwyn</strong><br />
teenagers and their parents or<br />
caregivers, which is subsidised<br />
by the district council. The team<br />
of qualified driving instructors<br />
run the half-day event, providing<br />
young drivers and their parents/<br />
caregivers the opportunity to<br />
have some supervised driving<br />
practice. The parent can even<br />
assess themselves and become<br />
a better coach and mentor to<br />
their teen. The learner must<br />
have a current New Zealand<br />
learner’s (or restricted) licence<br />
which they have held for at<br />
least three months. They must<br />
also have had about 40 hours of<br />
practical driving practice. All<br />
learner’s must be accompanied<br />
by a parent or caregiver for the<br />
full session and bring their car.<br />

JUMP: There’s lots of fun to be had at the Bouncy Castle Fun Day in the <strong>Selwyn</strong><br />
Sports Centre next Wednesday. Try out one of the 11 bouncy castles or take a ride<br />
on the 6m mega slide and try the Lu Uno Wall. Check out the under-5s play area<br />
from 10-11am, for children aged 6 months to 5 years, 11.30am-12.30pm for those<br />
aged 6 and over, and from 1-3pm for all children aged up to 13. Siblings can join<br />
the same session regardless of age. Parent or caregiver supervision is essential.<br />

Spin is an indoor cycle workout<br />

the pack through hills, flats,<br />
mountain peaks, time trials, and<br />
interval training. You control<br />
the resistance and speed to build<br />
your fitness level. Open to those<br />

Kete Weaving Workshop<br />

Join members of Te Kāhui<br />
Hono, a collective of <strong>Selwyn</strong><br />
weavers, who share their<br />
knowledge and expertise.<br />
During this workshop they will<br />
demonstrate and assist you in<br />
weaving a seamless harakeke<br />
kete, utilising elements of raranga<br />
plaiting techniques. For ages<br />
