<strong>The</strong> Arts Centre. On Friday, take an unforgettable<br />

journey from the dark to the light with Arts<br />

Foundation Laureate, musician Delaney Davidson and friends.<br />

Return for the Matariki mākete (crafts and kai) on Sunday,<br />

plus the Kapa Haka showcase. <strong>The</strong>n Aro, the duo whose sound<br />

Six Extinctions<br />

From Friday until December<br />

Canterbury Museum will open its pop-up museum at<br />

CoCA on Matariki with a free temporary exhibition<br />

– Six Extinctions, featuring a <strong>13</strong>-metre T-rex<br />

skeleton – alongside collection highlights and visitor favourites.<br />

Six Extinctions visitors will come face to face with some of the top<br />

predators of each geological period.<br />

Avebury House, Richmond Community Garden and<br />

Avon-Ōtākaro Network are celebrating Matariki with<br />

will be wood-carving, flax-weaving and marshmallow-toasting –<br />

and a delicious hāngi will be raised at 4.30pm, thanks to Tuahiwi<br />
