God’s will and how you might better embrace it on a daily<br />
basis. Take a few of those things that you struggle with<br />
the most, and begin to practice the opposite behaviors.<br />
Consider tracking in a journal your progress and goals<br />
for growth in embracing the will of God. This will be<br />
a valuable tool to bring with you to meetings with your<br />
spiritual director, and it can assist you in preparing your<br />
plan of love (or rule of life) and in making solid confessions.<br />

3. Increase your participation in the sacraments of the<br />
Eucharist and Penance. Try to receive the sacrament of<br />
Penance at least once each month. Souls truly intent<br />
on traversing the narrow way should also receive the<br />
Eucharist as often as possible. Strive for more than just<br />
the Sunday obligation as your circumstances and state<br />
of life allow.<br />
4. In addition to these spiritual disciplines, the daily<br />
practice of discernment of spirits is extremely powerful<br />
in helping you to identify when desolation tries to draw<br />
you out of a state of gratitude and the embrace of God’s<br />
