At St Michael’s, we know, and why. Our
Year 7 & 8 teachers are subject specialists.
With almost 50% of our timetable
committed to English and Maths, your
child’s essential foundations for secondary
school are guaranteed.
In our classes of 10-20, we know
your child. We aim for every Year 8 to
graduate up to 18 months ahead of Year 9
expectations.
This academic rigour underpins our
wider curriculums in History, Geography,
Science and Spanish. IT literacy is
taught, not assumed, and computer use is
measured. We like teaching and talking to
our pupils!
Specialist art and music classes
are enjoyed weekly, and many pupils
participate in individual itinerant lessons.
Our several choirs, Stage Band and
Orchestra perform regularly. Sporting and
Inter-house events raise passions.
Our senior programme, Parare, advances
our Year 7 & 8 education outside the box,
from financial literacy to new sports and
outdoor ed; leadership challenges to civics
and citizenship.
