English Conversation Circle
Weekly
Practice general English-language skills in a relaxed,
friendly and safe environment. Meet other adults who
are learning English as an additional language or join
online. These sessions are led by our friendly
volunteers. People from all cultural backgrounds
welcome.

EAL Reading Group
Weekly
Would you like to improve your English skills?
Practice your English pronunciation? Or increase
your English vocabulary? Join us for this free 10-
week program, where we will practice our English
reading and speaking skills by reading a book
together. The program is suitable for people with
lower-intermediate English skills. We welcome native
speakers as well as ESL learners.

is led by a branch librarian, but you can come
prepared to talk about any good book you have read

bi-monthly gathering which aims to connect the
LGBTQIA+ community within a safe, supportive

Home Library Service can come to you!
A free service for residents of Whitehorse and Manningham who are housebound or
have difficulty getting to the library due to ageing, disablity or carer responsibilities.
Services are also available for residents of aged care facilities within
Whitehorse and Manningham.
Evening Book Chat

The joy of reading is shared with fellow readers,
with discussion being led by a branch librarian.
No matter what you’ve been reading, come along
to share what you’ve read, or learn what others
recommend. If you are in a reading slump and
looking for ways to get your reading mojo back,
this friendly evening group of chatters could be
just what you are looking for. Reading across all
genres and formats, fiction and non-fiction, audio
and ebook.
