World Vision Day (3-5 years)
How would you go surfing with low vision? We'll
be reading the inspiring new picture book based
on the true story of a world champion blind surfer,
Matt Formston. Sensory activities and craft will
also be related to this topic.

Indigenous Literacy Day
Story Walk
Walking Storytime
A Story Walk is a series of signs along a short
trail in a park or open space. Each sign contains
a consecutive page of a picture book, so you can
read or enjoy the book by moving from one sign
to the next at your own pace. It's a great way to
enjoy books and fresh air at the same time! We'll
be celebrating a book by an Indigenous author
for Indigenous Literacy Day on 6 September.
The Story Walk will also run during during the
Whitehorse Heritage Festival, so get out into
nature and enjoy this beautiful story!

Family Storytime
Cinderella and Friends
Bring the whole family for a storytime based on
this traditional tale - with a twist or two! We'll
finish with a simple craft activity. All participants
will then receive a drink voucher for the new café
at The Round (Whitehorse's new performing arts
centre), and you might even want to stay for the
matinee session of the show based on the same
famous story- the Rogers and Hammerstein
version of Cinderella!

International Games Month

Doncaster Library is hosting our annual Games
Day as part of International Games Month.
Drop in any time to play, or register on the day
to compete in tournaments and competitions.
We'll have tabletop and video games, roleplaying,
boardgames, card games, party games,
competitive and co-operative games! Borrow
outdoor games to take home and play! No need
to book, just come along. There's something for
everyone: kids, adults and the whole family!
