Welcome
to the
Cranbrook
Pharmacy
What a pleasure it is to
go into the new pharmacy
in Cranbrook and see
stocked shelves and talk to
really helpful pharmacists,
supported by the longsuffering
staff who remain
from Lloyds. The new
pharmacists are making such
a difference in seeing the
public and helping with minor
ailments.
There also seem to be
modern methods to streamline
prescriptions and everyone
I speak to have also been so
impressed by the new owners.
Eyesore!
The closing of the White Horse was bad
news. However, the shuttering of it makes
Cranbrook look like the down-at-heel suburb
of a slum town. What can the council do
about it? It is damaging the town and all
the businesses, as it make the place look
unfriendly.
Editor’s comment: We contacted TWBC
Planning Technical Department about this
matter and they responded as follows: “As an
empty building it can be boarded up. There
is no planning breach and there is no need
to request permission to board up an empty
premises, even in a conservation area.”
Admiral Taverns have told us that it
has been sold but couldn’t tell us who to.
However, they have said they will pass our
details on to the new owner. We are awaiting
contact…
