LEE RUE
Being an artists is part of the family
tradition as both his father and uncle
were artists. So Lee certainly had a
passion to be an artist even from a
very young age. Born in1962 in Petaluma,
California, Lee received an MFA
degree from Academy of Art University,
San Francisco in 1998. He has
been fulfilling his childhood dreams as
an artist. Although he spent most of
his time on designs and other works,
his passion to create his own unique
oil paintings never fades. Lee started
his career as a designer and taught
many years of art, design and lighting
techniques at the Fashion Institute
of Design and Merchandising (FIDM),
Academy of Art University and UC
Berkeley Extension in San Francisco.
Lee’s painting style combines realistic
basics with impres-sionistic colors,
strokes and light. His paintings also
include a thin touch of fine romantic
sentiment that makes his style a mythical
and untamed fashion but mostly
his work falls between impressionistic
and realistic styles. He paints mostly
