Indians, rodeos, and vistas
of the West have captured her
spirit and she strives to paint
these subjects as honestly as she
can. Her dad was a cowboy in his
youth and many times they visited
the ranch in Montana where he
worked. Being there to see the
vast landscape and big sky was
breathtaking for her. Over many
years she has developed her skill
and professionalism to capture
the representation of the many
aspects of reality or fantasy. The
mixture of reality and vision
inspires her because it forces the
imagination to create something
that goes beyond a photographic
reference. She has stayed committed
to achieving her unique style
which consists of a wide range of
realism, abstract and a little bit
of both. Glenda’s subject matter
is also wide ranging as she paints
what she likes and what moves
her.
