The Golden Screen: The Movies that Made Asian America 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday, November 9 Buena Vista Branch Registration required — The past decade has been a groundbreaking era for Asian-centric storytelling in Hollywood films, from the mainstream success of Crazy Rich Asians to the amazing achievements of Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. The year is 1963. JFK is President, Beatlemania is about to begin, and the Burbank Central Library first opened its doors. This library has had an extraordinary run, but it’s time for a new one. The Burbank City Council is considering construction of a new Central Library as part of the Burbank Civic Center Project.
