The year is 1963. JFK is President, Beatlemania is about to begin,<br />

<strong>and</strong> the Burbank Central <strong>Library</strong> first opened its doors.<br />

This library has had an extraordinary run, but it’s time for a new one.<br />

The Burbank City Council is considering construction of a new Central <strong>Library</strong> as<br />

part of the Burbank Civic Center Project. If you’d like to see this happen, let the<br />

City Council know what a modern Central <strong>Library</strong> would mean to you <strong>and</strong> your<br />

community by emailing citycouncil@burbankca.gov.<br />

The Warner Brothers: Imagining America<br />

7 - 8:30 pm Thursday, <strong>November</strong> 16 Buena Vista Branch<br />

Registration required — A conversation with film <strong>and</strong> media historian Chris Yogerst<br />

<strong>and</strong> film producter <strong>and</strong> historian George Feltenstein. Explore how the Warner brothers,<br />

cultural <strong>and</strong> economic outsiders, created films that not only exp<strong>and</strong>ed the reach of the<br />

medium but powerfully shaped our idea of the American dream.<br />

Moon Watch – with the Burbank Sidewalk Astronomers<br />

6:30 - 7:30 pm Thursday, <strong>November</strong> 16 Burbank Central <strong>Library</strong><br />

Members of the Sidewalk Astronomers will set up telescopes just outside the library for a close-up<br />

look at the moon <strong>and</strong> any visible planets. In case of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.<br />

Color Me Calm<br />
