I concur about that crunch before a performance.
I did some theater in the past. My crunch was for
our annual costume show at my previous company.
This time I had purchased a cosplay…-
Naofumi Iwatani from Rising of the Shield Hero.
It came in one month before the show. Some
parts of the cosplay didn’t fit. Also, the shield for
cosplay was a total wreck. I had to redo it in
which I finished the early morning before work. I
mean I could’ve went without it, but the title of
the anime has to do with a shield. The things we
do for our cosplay hobby. Being that cosplay is a
hobby, have you ever planned on becoming a professional
cosplayer or keeping it cool as a hobby?
Ooofta. I felt that one to my core! The things
we do for the shot or the vibe at the cons. Like
recently I went to this killer warehouse in Denver,
climbed up a scary metal ladder like set of
stairs and sat need an open door like cut out and
peering at the ground while close to the edge,
cutting to the case and point. I’m very afraid of
heights. I’m known for getting stuck in trees.
There’s video out there somewhere of me in a
tree.
I need some clarification on what a professional
cosplayer is. Most of the cosplayers I know
are quite professional no matter social media
metrics in one way or another they inspire me. I
would love to go to conventions all over the world
and share that with everyone and from what I
hear it has it perks. I think ultimately pro or no
pro. I’ve never had as much fun as when I’m in
cosplay. It really helps bring my performance
side out which frankly doesn’t get enough time
to shine in mundane line. So as long as it’s fun,
I’ll be around.
