Gianna Tringale
St. Mary’s
(Senior)
One of the state’s top goaltenders, and one of the few to win
a state title this winter, Tringale was the driving force behind an
unforgettable postseason for St. Mary’s. She allowed just five goals
through the Spartans’ first four state tournament games.
She may have saved her best for last, however. In a state
championship win against Notre Dame (Hingham), Tringale made
41 saves – 14 of them coming across three overtime periods.
“I really believe that she won us that game,” said coach Frank
Pagliuca. “She hadn’t started a varsity game until her senior year, so
think about how far she’s come.”
Ella Tucker
Bishop Fenwick
(Junior)
Despite no postseason run for the Lady Crusaders,
Tucker more than made up for the lost time. She made
60 saves in a game against Malden Catholic and flirted
with the 500-save mark this winter.
One of the top goalies on the North Shore, Tucker
recorded wins against Hopkinton, Marblehead, East
Bridgewater, and Arlington Catholic, among other
strong performances.
