Struggling Eels go down again

Things continue to go from bad to
worse for the Parramatta Eels after
they were thumped 41-8 by the
Canberra Raiders in the nation’s capital on
Sunday night.
The Eels were never in the contest, down
13-0 at half-time before the Raiders laid on
five second half tries to two to send their
opposition crashing to the bottom four.
“We were outplayed,” Eels coach Brad
Arthur said after the match.
The underfire coach wouldn’t confirm if
he’d make any changes heading into this
Saturday’s crucial showdown against the
Cowboys at CommBank Stadium.
“We need 17 players that are going to own
their moments in the game,” he said.
“Making sure they get their basics of
their game right, their fundamentals right,
and making sure that we’re staying in the
contest the whole time.”
