TURNING BACK TIME
This amazing photo was
taken way back in 1888!
It shows horse-drawn
carriages and coachmen
waiting outside the James
Morris Livery and Cab
Stables, opposite the railway
station in Parramatta.
James Morris, originally
from the United Kingdom,
moved to Parramatta
where he had livery
stables in Argyle Street,
as well as an undertaker’s
business supplying horsedrawn
hearses. He died at
53-years-old in 1914.
