HAMBLEDON COTTAGE CELEBRATES<br />

200 YEARS OF HERITAGE AND HISTORY<br />

<strong>Parra</strong>matta’s much-loved Hambledon<br />

Cottage will mark its bicentenary these<br />

<strong>April</strong> school holidays with a new exhibition,<br />

live music, craft and heritage stalls, trade<br />

demonstrations, entertainment, food stalls<br />

and cottage open house.<br />

Built in the 1820s for pastoralists John and<br />

Elizabeth Macarthur as part of their<br />

Elizabeth Farm Estate, the heritage-listed<br />

cottage is now a house museum with a<br />

record 4,500 visitors in the last year.<br />

Bicentenary celebrations, hosted by the<br />

<strong>Parra</strong>matta and District Historical Society,<br />

will kick off on Saturday 13 <strong>April</strong>, and are<br />

a chance to experience the cottage’s rich<br />

history. Come along to experience trade<br />

and craft demonstrations, live music and an<br />

open house.<br />

The Saturday event runs from 10am to 4pm<br />

and is supported by City of <strong>Parra</strong>matta.<br />

UNRAVELLING THE MYSTERY OF<br />

WICKED LITTLE LETTERS<br />

Set in an English seaside town in the<br />

1920s, follow the journey of Edith Swan<br />

and Rose Gooding as they navigate<br />

through wicked letters, uproars, and<br />

unexpected twists at Riverside Theatres.<br />

Wicked Little Letters is a film based on a<br />

true story that will leave you in stitches.<br />

Only screening on Thursday 18 and<br />

Sunday 26 to Monday 27 May so don’t<br />

miss out.<br />
