STUDENT POLICIES
Off-Campus Activities
All off-campus student activities must:
u be sponsored by a Zayed University faculty or staff member;
u receive prior approval in writing from the appropriate dean,
assistant dean or department chair;
u include notification to the student’s parent or guardian, who is
informed of the nature, purpose, location, and duration of the
event, and arrangements for chaperoning and transportation, if
required;
u provide appropriate chaperoning, except for internships and
some research projects; and
u provide transportation to and from the activity, with no
unsanctioned stops en route, except for internships and some
research projects.
Notification and written permission from the parent/guardian is required
when the University-sponsored off-campus activity is not course-related
or required, or the course related activity is outside the city or surrounding
area in which the campus is located, or outside the standard university
working hours.
When engaged in activity off campus, you are expected to demonstrate
the high standard of behavior presented in the Code of Student Conduct.
