Membership Updates
Role of the Advisory Board
The Advisory Board represents
the general membership in the
provision of programs and
services. Advisory Board
members serve on the Centre
Committees and liaise with the
different activity groups at the Centre. The Board
and the Centre Coordinator work together to make
necessary improvements and enhancements to
the Centre’s operation.
Responsibilities are:
- To offer advice and assistance to the Coordinator
for the betterment of the Centre
- To post minutes of all meetings and keep the
membership informed of Centre happenings
- To attend functions hosted by the Centre and
represent the Board when possible
- To review and refer to specific responsibilities
outlined in the procedures manual
- To work together as a team, ensuring that each
member fulfils their specific roles
- To raise the profile of, and further the interests of
Seniors within the Town of Milton
The nomination committee consists of Maisie
MacKay (Chair), Diane Miller and Ruth Stinson.
We are currently looking for candidates to replace
the following positions for the 2011/2012 Fund
Development and Constitution Standards.
If you are interested in these or any other
positions, please speak to Maisie and Committee,
or the Centre Coordinator, Tammy Townsend.
Thank you to Diane and Ruth who have been
working hard to fill our upcoming positions on the
Board. Our future success rests on having good
Board members and lots of willing volunteers.

During the week of January 10 – 14, there will
be a table in the hallway, outside the Administration
Offices, with items that have been left/found at
the Centre.
All items will be donated to a charity if they are
not
collected by Friday, January 14.
