Ordinance. Compost can be used as organic soil improver or organic fertiliser, if the used source materials comply with this ordinance.<br />

Any material which is listed in the Fertiliser Ordinance <strong>and</strong> has achieved the waste status but is not found in the Biowaste Ordinance cannot<br />

be used for the production of compost.<br />

V RAL GZ 251: Positive list of the quality assurance scheme based on RAL GZ 251 includes all materials as listed in the Biowaste Ordinance<br />

<strong>and</strong> the Fertiliser Ordinance.<br />

DK S Waste separated at source, including composted waste, from private households, institutions <strong>and</strong> private enterprises together with sewage<br />

sludge . Garden waste can be treated <strong>and</strong> used without any restrictions. In principle raw materials should meet the requirements of the stat.<br />

order on heavy metals <strong>and</strong> organic compounds before processing. For compost the authority agrees to analyse also the <strong>final</strong> product. But the<br />

principle is: if input material complies with the limit values of the stat. order the <strong>final</strong> product may not be analysed anymore!<br />

Rule Nr. 16/2001. (VII.18.) about the list of the wastes based on the European Waste Catalogue codes (EWC).<br />

8 Spain: In addition to this, Article 17 [Use of wastes] sets that the use as an ingredient of any material included in the European List of Wastes, as mentioned in<br />

Commission Decision 2001/118/CE, 16 January 2001, which modifies the Decision 2000/532/CE by which refers to the list of wastes, will be submitted to the competent<br />

authority of the region where the waste is produced <strong>and</strong>, if necessary, where the waste is recovered.
