Trisha Wilson Receives the Inaugural<br />
2006 Women in Design Award<br />
Trisha Wilson, founder and CEO of Dallas-based international<br />
architectural design firm, Wilson Associates, received the<br />
2006 Women in Design Award at a gala luncheon held on December<br />
6 in New York. Presented by VNU Business Media Design Group,<br />
this inaugural award was created to honor talented women who<br />
have made significant contributions to the world of architecture<br />
and design. The 2006 award winners launched the Women in<br />
Design Hall of Fame.<br />
The landmark event was hosted by Norma Kamali, CEO of<br />
Norma Kamali, Inc. Other recipients included Barbara Barry of<br />
Barbara Barry, Inc., Clodagh of Clodagh Design, Kathryn Gustafson<br />
of Gustafson Nichol Ltd, Gisue and Mojgan Hariri of Hariri &<br />
Hariri, Naomi Miller of Naomi Miller Lighting Design, Lauren<br />
Rottet of DMJM Rottet and Suzanne Tick of Suzanne Tick,<br />
Incorporated. Katherine Bragg, senior at Parsons, the New School<br />
of Design, was named as the Rising Star recipient. Legendary<br />
French designer Andree Putnam, of Andree Putnam Designs, was<br />
the recipient of the Icon Award.<br />
“I am so honored to receive this prestigious award,” says Wilson.<br />
“It is a thrill to be recognized by the industry in which I work and<br />
to be counted among these other highly accomplished women.”<br />
