Greetings from the President-elect . . . Dear Friends, What an exciting time I have ahead of me! Serving my fellow designers in this ever changing field makes the word “exciting” seem small. I am thankful I took the opportunity to work side by side with dedicated ASID members and experience first hand the continual evolution of the Texas Chapter. We are on our way!! We will continue to meet the expectations of our industry by obtaining the Interior Design Practice Act, using current technology and attending classes of continuing education at Metrocon ‘ 07. Wow, I think this is beginning to sound like a commercial… but these are the tools needed to support and strengthen you in your practice. One of the most important tools we have as colleagues is to participate in the Texas Chapter Strategic Plan. This survey is the starting point each year in forming the road map to gain the most from your association with ASID. Your input into this plan is what will continue the forward drive of professionalism through the Interior Design Practice Act. This format allows us to present you with the most current technologies benefiting your practice. If you want me to be the most effective I can be for further growth I have got to hear from you. We have attached the current survey in this newsletter for your convenience. If you have not already completed the survey, the opportunity for the future awaits you.
