Christina Engelmann (Competitor)<br />

Christina is a graduate student at Heinrich-Heine-Universität<br />

Düsseldorf (HHU), majoring in Marketing and Personnel &<br />

Organizational Management. Apart from being a student<br />

Christina has more than 6 years working experience in the<br />

marketing and advertising business. She occupied several<br />

positions within the BBDO Network in Germany and the US<br />

and currently works as an <strong>International</strong> Project Manager for<br />

BBDO Europe.<br />

Aline Geick (Competitor)<br />

Aline is a graduate student at HHU, doing a double major in<br />

Chemistry and <strong>Business</strong>. In her studies, she is specializing on<br />

Marketing as well as Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. She<br />

enriched her studies with a semester abroad in Gothenburg<br />

(Sweden) focusing on Project and <strong>International</strong> Strategic<br />

Management. Through intern-ships and assignments in the<br />

industry she gained further practical experience in Controlling<br />

as well as in Marketing. In her free time Aline enjoys to swim,<br />

run and dance, especially Modern Dance.<br />

Janine Hagen (Competitor)<br />

Janine is in the last semester <strong>of</strong> her Master’s studies in business<br />

administration and management which she completed at<br />

HHU and at the University <strong>of</strong> California, Berkeley. She is very<br />

passionate about retailing and consumer goods and did several<br />

intern-ships in this industry, focusing especially on Marketing and<br />

<strong>Business</strong> Development. During her studies Janine also finished<br />

a two-year trainee pro-gram in the fields <strong>of</strong> Purchasing and<br />

Sales at a leading German fashion retailer. Besides, she gained<br />

practical experiences in management consulting and project<br />

management in different industries. Janine is an avid badminton<br />

and saxophone player and volunteers at a local animal shelter.<br />

Hendrik Klier (Competitor)<br />

Hendrik is a second year master student at the HHU<br />

specializing in Human Resource Management, Sustainability<br />

Management, and Organizational Behaviour and Leadership.<br />

In 2010 he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University<br />

<strong>of</strong> Bayreuth. Hendrik gained practical experience in the field<br />

<strong>of</strong> Human Resources and is currently working as a student<br />

assistant for the Department <strong>of</strong> Organization and Personnel<br />

at the university. In his free time he likes reading, jogging and<br />

relaxing with a good film.<br />

Edgars Sirins (Competitor)<br />

Edgars is a graduate student <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> Chemistry at HHU,<br />

majoring in Controlling & Auditing as well as in Physical and<br />

Macromolecular Chemistry. He gained further experience<br />

during two semesters abroad at The University <strong>of</strong> Auckland in<br />

New Zealand and Linköping University in Sweden where he<br />

focused on Finance, <strong>International</strong> <strong>Business</strong> and Management.<br />

Edgars enriched his studies with several internships in the fields<br />

<strong>of</strong> Controlling and Supply Chain Management. In his spare time<br />

he plays basketball and likes to travel.<br />

Rüdiger Hahn (Coach)<br />

Rüdiger was part <strong>of</strong> the top-ranked Team Düsseldorf at the<br />

2005 <strong>MBA</strong>-ICC. Afterwards he immediately moved into his<br />

role as coach. He is Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor for Sustainability &<br />

Corporate Responsibility at HHU, where he completed his<br />

PhD in 2009. His research interests include Sustainability<br />

Management and Corporate Responsibility with a focus<br />

on <strong>International</strong> & Strategic Management. In addition to his<br />

university education and career, he worked for two years in an<br />

advertising agency and on a project for an NGO in India. Since<br />

this time he is also an interested amateur photographer and<br />

intrigued traveler <strong>of</strong> developing countries.<br />

Bastian Hauschild (Coach)<br />

Bastian is a PhD candidate in Finance at HHU. He was<br />

member <strong>of</strong> Team Düsseldorf in 2008. His research interest<br />

is in Corporate Venturing, Venture Capital and (Real) Option<br />

Pricing. During his graduate studies which included a term<br />

abroad at UC Davis, Bastian focused on Financial Markets,<br />

Management Accounting and Finance. He gained practical<br />

experience in several internships Banking and Auditing. In<br />

his free time, Bastian likes to travel especially to developing<br />

countries.<br />
