Russell Farmer (Coach)<br />
As a management consultant Russell Farmer specializes in<br />
advising clients on effective governance, strategic planning<br />
and organizational design. Over his career he has worked<br />
with provincial government departments, municipalities,<br />
financial institutions, regulatory bodies and not-for-pr<strong>of</strong>it<br />
organizations across western Canada, helping them to achieve<br />
success. Russell completed his <strong>MBA</strong> at the University <strong>of</strong><br />
Alberta and has gone on to instruct at the institution, teaching<br />
undergraduate and graduate level classes in economics,<br />
strategy, and government policy. Russell has been coaching<br />
<strong>MBA</strong> case teams for the University <strong>of</strong> Alberta since 2006.<br />

Nasheena Chagani (Competitor)<br />
Nasheena Chagani is in her final semester <strong>of</strong> the University<br />
<strong>of</strong> Alberta <strong>MBA</strong> program. Nasheena has three years <strong>of</strong><br />
experience with the Government <strong>of</strong> Alberta as a Human<br />
Resources Consultant. Nasheena was responsible for consulting<br />
management in three main functional areas: recruitment and<br />
selection, classification, and employee relations. Nasheena has<br />
worked on many strategic HR initiatives such as orientation and<br />
on analyzing a career and learning portal. Nasheena’s strengths<br />
include business strategy, change management, human<br />
resources, and sustainability.<br />

Jean-Francois (JF) Bouffard (Competitor)<br />
Quebecois by birth, Jean-Francois (JF) Bouffard is a Sales<br />
and Technical Support representative for Campbell Scientific<br />
Canada Corp. He graduated from the University <strong>of</strong> Alberta<br />
with a B.Sc. in Animal Biology in 2003. Previous work<br />
experience includes Environmental Consulting, and not<br />
for pr<strong>of</strong>it organizations such as the Telus World <strong>of</strong> Science<br />
Edmonton and the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance.<br />
JF is also active in the community, having served as the vice<br />
president <strong>of</strong> the Alberta Lake Management Society and<br />
participated as a performer in the world renowned Edmonton<br />
Fringe Theatre Festival.<br />

Jordan Kwiram (Competitor)<br />
Jordan Kwiram is a second year <strong>MBA</strong> student at the University<br />
<strong>of</strong> Alberta. Growing up in both the Northwest Territories<br />
and Nunavut, he has been exposed to cultures within Canada,<br />
which many other Canadians don’t have access to. He holds<br />
an undergraduate degree in political economy. Jordan has<br />
spent the last 4 in the Edmonton hospitality industry. Fine<br />
dining restaurants have long been a passion <strong>of</strong> Jordan’s. The<br />
past few years have provided him with significant experience<br />
in small business management as well as entrepreneurship. He<br />
is using his time in the <strong>MBA</strong> program to pursue an accounting<br />
designation. Jordan is an avid music enthusiast.<br />

Joann Priestley (Competitor)<br />
Joann Priestley is a part-time <strong>MBA</strong> student at the University<br />
<strong>of</strong> Alberta in her final year <strong>of</strong> the program. She is specializing<br />
in Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment to gain<br />
valuable knowledge in the energy industry while she pursues<br />
her career at Capital Power Corporation’s head <strong>of</strong>fice in<br />
Edmonton, Alberta. Joann is the Senior Advisor responsible<br />
for the implementation <strong>of</strong> the NERC Reliability Standards. She<br />
works with 13 plants in the fleet to manage the compliance and<br />
reporting requirements with these regulations. Joann acquired<br />
ten years <strong>of</strong> experience in technology commercialization at the<br />
University <strong>of</strong> Calgary’s UTI <strong>of</strong>fice, the University <strong>of</strong> Lethbridge,<br />
SemBioSys Genetics, and EPCOR. This experience has exposed<br />
her to numerous industries including medical and life sciences,<br />
biotechnology, food manufacturing, s<strong>of</strong>tware, and construction.<br />
