Dr David Band (Coach)<br />
David Band is an experienced international businessman.<br />
David’s career encompasses significant experience in corporate<br />
consulting and management. This included extensive periods<br />
with Korn/Ferry <strong>International</strong>, PA Consulting Group and, most<br />
recently, Sibson Consulting. At PA he was Global Head <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Management Development Practice. He has held numerous<br />
Board appointments in Europe and New Zealand. He is<br />
currently Chairman <strong>of</strong> AbacusBio and a Director <strong>of</strong> Pacific<br />
Edge Ltd., and Principal <strong>of</strong> Boardroom Partners, Australia’s<br />
leading Board evaluation firm.<br />

Christopher Wahl (Competitor)<br />
Before joining the Otago <strong>MBA</strong> in New Zealand, Christopher<br />
was working as a Management Consultant in Germany.<br />
His personal project experience includes organisational<br />
restructuring, organisational performance, process optimization<br />
and the development <strong>of</strong> a Management Accounting logic. Prior<br />
employments include one <strong>of</strong> the world’s largest breweries<br />
and the world’s largest electrical distributor. Christopher<br />
has graduated magna cum laude in Economics & Electrical<br />
Engineering at the University <strong>of</strong> Applied Sciences Schmalkalden,<br />
Germany. In his private life, Christopher enjoys travelling which<br />
has led him to most countries in Eastern & Western Europe,<br />
North America and South East Asia.<br />

Hamza has an undergraduate degree in Economics (Major),<br />
Mathematics and Computer Sciences (Minors) from LUMS<br />
Pakistan. Before commencing study on Otago <strong>MBA</strong>, he worked<br />
in the banking sector as a Corporate Relationship Manager<br />
(Assets), a role which he held for four and a half years. Hamza<br />
says he is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the <strong>John</strong><br />
<strong>Molson</strong> <strong>Case</strong> Competition and is excited about his upcoming<br />
Otago <strong>MBA</strong> <strong>International</strong> Exchange to Schulich School <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Business</strong>.<br />

Richard Turton (Competitor)<br />
Richard has most recently worked in various strategy and<br />
business planning roles in the UK and New Zealand over a<br />
number <strong>of</strong> years, gaining experience in regional economic<br />
development, public private partnerships and health systems<br />
development. His previous academic studies have been in the<br />
areas <strong>of</strong> Economics and Government. After graduating with<br />
his Otago <strong>MBA</strong>, Richard intends to pursue a career in strategy<br />
consulting. In his free time Richard enjoys mountain biking,<br />
outdoor photography and travel.<br />

Jonny Mirkin (Competitor)<br />
Jonny completed his law degree at the University <strong>of</strong> Otago<br />
before joining the recently named ‘mid-sized law firm <strong>of</strong> New<br />
Zealand’, Wilkinson Adams. Following several years practising<br />
law in the commercial team he returned to University to<br />
complete his Otago <strong>MBA</strong>. Jonny was accepted to undertake his<br />
<strong>MBA</strong> <strong>International</strong> Exchange at Duke University where he will<br />
undertake electives in strategy in early 2012.<br />
