Dr. Dale Carl (Coach)<br />
Dale has a BA from RMC, <strong>MBA</strong> from Queen’s, a certificate<br />
in <strong>International</strong> Energy from LSE, and a PhD in international<br />
business from the University <strong>of</strong> Calgary. Dale was an aid to<br />
Queen Elizabeth onboard Her Majesty’s Royal Yacht Britannia,<br />
and an aide-de-camp for two Governors General <strong>of</strong> Canada.<br />
He then joined the Canadian Foreign Service, serving in<br />
Pakistan, Norway, Texas, and Baghdad. He later worked for<br />
four years in the private sector in Dubai, covering countries<br />
throughout the Middle East and East Africa. He is Associate<br />
Director <strong>of</strong> <strong>International</strong> Relations and Director <strong>of</strong> Graduate<br />
Students in the Ted Rogers School <strong>of</strong> Management.<br />

Jennifer Haller (Competitor)<br />
Born and raised in Bahrain, Jennifer holds a Bachelor <strong>of</strong><br />
Commerce from Ryerson University. Although she grew up<br />
in the Middle East, she spent two years in Leysin, Switzerland<br />
and one year in New York City. Before deciding to pursue<br />
her <strong>MBA</strong> she worked in the capacity <strong>of</strong> Product Manager at<br />
Bahrain Yellow Pages. At BYP she oversaw the company’s<br />
regional marketing and distribution efforts. Jennifer also holds<br />
an Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts. During her spare<br />
time she enjoys cooking and being active in sports, including<br />
volleyball and squash.<br />

Rae-Anne Miller graduated from the University <strong>of</strong> Western<br />
Ontario with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After<br />
graduation she started her career working in the automotive<br />
manufacturing industry with General Motors, she held<br />
several technical roles, including a management position as<br />
a maintenance supervisor, followed by two years as part<br />
<strong>of</strong> the process engineering team and finally one year in the<br />
manufacturing engineering group, where she worked as an<br />
electrical controls engineer. Rae-Anne’s other interests include<br />
playing soccer and volleyball as well as all things culinary. She is<br />
also involved with the <strong>MBA</strong> Student association where she is a<br />
member <strong>of</strong> the social, fundraising and sports committees.<br />

Steven Blanc (Competitor)<br />
Steven Blanc is from the Caribbean island Republic <strong>of</strong> Trinidad<br />
and Tobago and completed his undergraduate degree with<br />
majors in Finance and Real Estate at Florida <strong>International</strong><br />
University. Upon graduating he returned to Trinidad and was<br />
employed by Lange Trinidad Limited, where he worked through<br />
several entry and mid-level positions dealing primarily with<br />
Accounting and IT. He was then taken on as the Property<br />
Manager for Skillco Holdings Limited, where he spent the last<br />
year. He is interested in listening to and playing music (with<br />
a particular affinity for percussion), scuba diving, art, graphic<br />
design, architecture, and IT (both hardware and s<strong>of</strong>tware,<br />
including a passion for programming).<br />

Tarun George (Competitor)<br />
Born in India, Tarun has lived in Mumbai, the Hague, and<br />
Montreal, before finally ending up at the Ted Rogers School<br />
<strong>of</strong> Management in Toronto. He has a BA Double Major in<br />
Economics/Political Science from McGill University. Since<br />
then he has worked as a Journalist and Managing Editor at<br />
Nearshore Americas, a media company focused on business<br />
investment in emerging markets. During his <strong>MBA</strong>, he also<br />
writes for the Financial Post. Tarun’s career dream is to work<br />
for the United Nations, in the development field. He is<br />
passionate about Jesus Christ, rock climbing, playing his guitar,<br />
and salsa dancing.<br />
