Daniel Dennehy (Coach)<br />

After graduation from Katz (<strong>MBA</strong>) in 1989, Dan landed<br />

his dream job with a boutique consulting firm located in<br />

Cambridge Massachusetts dedicated to training senior<br />

executives in Fortune 100 firms using customized cases and<br />

peer socialization. Dan quickly developed passion for this<br />

work and recognized the nature <strong>of</strong> his life’s vocation. As<br />

a result, in the ensuing years he has remained focused on<br />

the process <strong>of</strong> adult learning in the private and academic<br />

sectors. In both corporate and academic arenas, Dan strives<br />

to engage participants and students alike in a meaningful<br />

discourse, analysis and evaluation <strong>of</strong> the complex challenges<br />

they face within their pr<strong>of</strong>essional or business context.<br />

Emily Burns (Competitor)<br />

Emily Burns is a second year <strong>MBA</strong> student at the Joseph<br />

M. Katz Graduate School <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong>. She is concentrating<br />

in marketing and strategy, with a particular focus in<br />

Entrepreneurship. Prior to attending graduate school, Emily<br />

worked as a Buyer and Director <strong>of</strong> Marketing & Operations for<br />

a privately owned specialty clothing store. In addition to her<br />

five years <strong>of</strong> sales and marketing experience, she has worked<br />

in the U.S. House <strong>of</strong> Representatives, the market research<br />

industry, and as a marketing and PR consultant for a start-up<br />

apparel company. Emily has a B.A. in History and Political<br />

Science from the University <strong>of</strong> Michigan and intends to pursue<br />

a career in marketing communications and strategy.<br />

Anthony Cray (Competitor)<br />

Anthony is a 2nd year <strong>MBA</strong> with a focus in finance. He<br />

received his baccalaureate degree from Bucknell University,<br />

with a major in accounting and a minor in philosophy. Prior<br />

to coming to Pittsburgh he worked in the financial industry<br />

in New York, NY. Anthony also sits on the Graduate and<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Student Assembly Executive Board at the<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Pittsburgh. In his free time he enjoys sampling a<br />

wide variety <strong>of</strong> brewed beverages<br />

Avesh Padayachee (Competitor)<br />

Avesh Padayachee is a second year <strong>MBA</strong> student at the Katz<br />

Graduate School <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> concentrating in Finance. Prior<br />

to entering the <strong>MBA</strong> program, Avesh worked as Corporate<br />

Lawyer for five years specializing in mergers and acquisitions<br />

<strong>of</strong> US and UK companies in relation to their activities in the<br />

emerging markets. Avesh received his Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Commerce<br />

and Post-graduate Law degrees from the University <strong>of</strong> Cape<br />

Town in South Africa. Upon completion <strong>of</strong> the <strong>MBA</strong>, Avesh<br />

intends to pursue a career in Corporate Finance.<br />

Caleb Garcia (Competitor)<br />

Caleb Garcia is a second year student <strong>MBA</strong> at the Joseph M.<br />

Katz Graduate School <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong>, University <strong>of</strong> Pittsburgh<br />

concentrating in Finance. Prior to attending business school,<br />

Caleb served over ten years in the United States Air Force.<br />

While on active duty he competed a BS in Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Upon<br />

graduation, Caleb plans to pursue a career in investment<br />

management.<br />

Todd Blaskowitz (Alternate Competitor)<br />

Todd Blaskowitz is a first year <strong>MBA</strong> and MS candidate at the<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Business</strong>, with a concentration in accounting and information<br />

systems management. Prior to Katz, Todd was enlisted<br />

in the United States Navy where we worked as a Human<br />

Resources Analyst. While enlisted he finished his Bachelor<br />

Degree at Robert Morris College in Chicago, IL. Todd is<br />

very active with the Men’s University Hockey team and the<br />

Student Veteran Association. After graduation Todd hopes to<br />

secure a technology consulting position working with the US<br />

government.<br />

Ram Parameshwar (Alternate Competitor)<br />

Ram Parameshwar is a first year <strong>MBA</strong> student at the Joseph<br />

M. Katz Graduate School <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> focusing on Strategy and<br />

marketing with a career focus in business development. Ram<br />

graduated from the University <strong>of</strong> Auckland in New Zealand as<br />

a Biomedical Engineer in 2008. Since then, he has worked as a<br />

clinical research scientist at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in New<br />

Zealand, who manufacture medical devices to treat respiratory<br />

disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apena and COPD. As a<br />

clinical research scientist, Ram worked closely with productive<br />

development and was extensively involved in conducting<br />

research projects in this area <strong>of</strong> medicine with other research<br />

communities. Post <strong>MBA</strong>, he would ideally like to work as a<br />

business development manager preferably with a medical<br />

devices manufacturer.<br />
