Hall fiddle styles, how to bring tunes to life and how to make them danceable. A selection
of tunes will be used illustrate this and sheet music will be available. W £8
539 1:15-2:30pm Woodlands Hotel Ballads Of Bohemian Essex – Adrian May performs his own songs and poems
from his new book. Introduced by Bruce Gomersal. £8
540 1:30-3:00pm Rugby Club Ukulele For Beginners with Clive Harvey. Learn the basics from scratch. No
previous musical knowledge or experience needed. Tuning, basic chords, basic
strumming. Most beginners can be up and running by the end of 90 minutes.
Under 12s should be accompanied by an adult. W £8

Church Hall workshops for percussionists and moderately loud tuned instruments to form a
band for Friday night’s Torchlight Procession. You will need to be mobile whilst

543 2:15-3:15pm Arts Centre Shooting Roots – Morris Pick a tradition or two, learn a dance or three, then
perform them accompanied by a whole bunch of singers! Suitable for newcomers
and experts alike. W £4

for dancing, and challenge the dancers to work around your songs. Then team up
with the Morris workshop for double the fun! W £4

Church Hall writing dances, or participating in group composing-working in small groups to

Church Hall systems led by Tim Laycock. A participatory workshop focusing on 18th and 19th
