709 9:30-11:00am Conservative Festival Concert Band Workshop with John Kirkpatrick. Five daily accumulative
Club sessions suitable for all acoustic instruments (no electric instruments please). The
workshops will focus on a written arrangements of just a few tunes, with a view to
a final performance at the workshop showcase event on Friday afternoon. Bring
your own music stand and a pen or pencil to make notes. Ability to read music
helpful, but not essential. W £8

Church Hall to discuss the meaning of dialect words, accents from different parts of Scotland, the
language of Robert Burns and the fact that songs have migrated all over the world,
with the people that sang them. Bring songs you would like to discuss and be

Church Hall on a number of arrangements for the Friday showcase, including some body
percussion and songs too. An assortment of wooden, metal and cow horn spoons

Church Hall graceful and innovative dance fusion revealing the roots of the flamenco dance.
Today’s session will introduce 12-beat rhythm dances, such as the Fandango and
Sevillanas. Suitable for all levels of ability. Please wear comfortable clothes, and no
