Festival Campsite and Car Park
Festival Campsite at
Bulverton
Located about 1.5 miles from the
seafront on Bulverton Road, B3176. The
Campsite is available to All-In-One,
Week, Weekend and Day Ticket holders
for the appropriate night(s), plus those
who have purchased a Campsite
Passport, and people who have bought
advance event tickets, for the night
before and night of the event. Separate
Campsite charges apply.
The Campsite is open from noon on
Wednesday 1st August (but not before)
until noon on Saturday 11th August.
Please refer to the map at the Campsite
entrance before pitching your tent, and
follow the instructions from the
Campsite volunteers. All campers must
complete a registration sheet.
To keep the Campsite clean and
safe, campers are asked to choose
EITHER to park by their tent for the
duration of their stay on the site, OR, if
they want to use their car during the
week, to park on the Festival Car Park at
the top of Bulverton Hill (a 5-minute
walk from the Campsite). Cars are
allowed on site for unloading/loading.
There is a designated quieter family
camping area – please keep the noise
here to a minimum after 10.30pm.
Spaces for caravans and motor homes
are limited so book early. Main walkways
are lit by fairy lights.
There are toilets and hot showers
on site. There are toilet cassette
emptying facilities at the bottom gate
toilet complex. Water taps are placed
around the field. Please do not leave

Car parking in the town
The Ham East, Ham West and
Roxburgh short stay car parks
(EDDC): The Ham car parks are at the
eastern end of the Esplanade (EX10
8XR). The Roxburgh car park is on
Russell St. Charges: 8am to 6pm daily.
Three hours maximum stay, no return
within 1 hour. 7 Day Tickets/ Permits are
valid for one visit only of up to 3 hours in
each day. No return that same day.
Annual Parking Permits: Permit valid for
one visit only of up to 3 hours in each
day. No return that same day.

bins will be at the top of the campsite,
by the entrance and between the two
fields. Please keep this area tidy.
Dogs are permitted on site if kept on
a lead and under control at all times.
Please exercise your dogs away
from the camping areas and clean
up after them. Please note that
dogs are not permitted in the Ham
Marquee this year and from 2013, are
not permitted in any venues.
A food concession will provide
breakfasts and late night snacks as well
as items throughout the day. Campfires
and ground-level barbeques are not
allowed. Barbecue units are only allowed
after discussion with the Campsite
Manager, so please check before buying
food.

Newsletter
There will be at least one newsletter,
published on Saturday 4 August. All copy
for inclusion to the Box Office on the
Ham please by 4pm on Wednesday 1st
August. The Newsletter will be available
from the Festival Campsite, the Festival
Box Office, The Manor Pavilion and The
Bedford Hotel.
Festival Car Park
The Festival Car Park is situated just
above the Bulverton Marquee. It allows
direct access on foot to the Marquee
and onwards to the Campsite and
Festival Bus service, avoiding delays
finding parking in the town. Follow the
Manor Road car park (EDDC):
Western end of Manor Road, opposite
the Westcliff Hotel. Charging period: 24
hours daily. 24 hours maximum stay: no
return within 1 hour. Same conditions for
7 day and annual parking permits.
Cricket Club (Diamond FolkWeek
Sponsor) and Rugby Club (Gold
FolkWeek Sponsor): Each club
operates a car park during FolkWeek.
Follow the signs on the B3176 (Station
Road) before reaching the Esplanade.

Bulverton Road, past the Campsite. Use
the one-way system (following the
‘diversion’ signs), up Broadway, turn
right into Bickwell Lane then left into
Higher Greenway Lane. The route is
along country lanes, so please drive very
carefully, especially when wet. Exit signs
will direct you round the remainder of
the one-way system back onto the
Bulverton Road just below the Campsite.
To access the town from the car
park, walk past the Bulverton Marquee,
down the hill to the bus stop just
opposite the Campsite entrance (see
Bus Timetable). Parking costs £4 per car
per day for arrivals before 5.30pm and
£2 per car per day after 5.30pm. Drivers
and passengers of parked cars can
purchase full-day bus tickets for just £2
per person (50% discount) at the time of
parking on the Festival Car Park. Parking
in the Festival Car Park is free to All-In-
One, Week, Weekend and Day Ticket
holders.
Please note that the Festival Car Park
is NOT suitable for people with mobility
issues because the walk to the bus stop
is uneven and sloping. Additionally, the
access roads are only suitable for cars,
and not large vans/motor homes.
Bedford Lawn car park (Bronze
FolkWeek Sponsor): Next to the
Bedford Hotel on the Esplanade. Pay as
you enter.
There are NO parking concessions
for traders, stallholders or FolkWeek
visitors.
We advise you to use public
transport or the Festival Bus wherever
possible, thereby reducing the
environmental impact and improving
safety.
