MediaMix is a multimedia project, bringing a creative idea through different media to an
audience. The course emphasizes strong ideas, a creative vision that will be communicated
through at least two different media. Idea and concept are restricted to one main theme (yet
to be defined) and might be found in either a more commercial area or in an experimental field
of art.
The first part of the course will start with brainstorming to find the right idea, keeping in mind
that the idea is the trigger to create and drive a multi media process. Those ideas are then
presented to all members of the course and discussed, tuning them to the final creative vision.
The second step concerns how to translate the idea to the different media, which plattforms to
chose and what this would look like. This stage consists of moodboards, storyboards and
conceptual outlines. After that (third step) the realisation will start, designing first drafts of
logos, organizing and shooting videos, planning and working out installation facilities etc.
The course ends with the presentation of the projects to a larger audience of FH students and
external professionals. You will gain practical experience in finding a good idea and
transporting it through a combination of different media to an audience.
