of the Cartagena Convention, establishes limits for discharge of domestic
wastewater into Class I and II waters. Class I waters are classified by various
characteristics. Limits have been established for each class of water for:
total suspended solids; biological oxygen demand; pH; fats, oil, and grease;
fecal coliform; and floating solids.
