Data for each pollutant for each site were also apparently averaged over the 10 samples
collected at that site, and the averages were compared to applicable annual standards. This
comparison is considered to be of limited value given the limited duration of the sampling. For
completeness, these average values are reported as follows:
� TSP: 56.5 μg/m 3
� PM10: 31.7 μg/m 3
� SO2: 12.4 μg/m 3
� NO2: 20.2 μg/m 3
� CO: 1,732.2 μg/m 3
� O3: 46.7 μg/m 3
� THC: 91.2 μg/m 3
� VOC: < 0.17 μg/m 3
� H2S: < 500 μg/m 3
� NH3: 514.5 μg/m 3
� Ni: < 0.02 μg/m 3
� V: < 0.01 μg/m 3 .
Although some of the values listed above are relatively high, all but one of the values are below
maximum allowable annual or daily levels. Ammonia was found at levels above the national
standard, defined as an odor threshold. Monitored ammonia values from four of the six sites
were below the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) standard of 100 μg/m 3 .
