Fantech Ventilation breezes into Tesco<br />
Portlaoise Shopping Centre, Ireland<br />
Fantech Ventilation h<strong>as</strong> just supplied its largestever<br />
order for car park ventilation equipment for<br />
a turnkey project at a new Tesco superstore in<br />
Portlaoise, Ireland. The Dublin company works<br />
closely with local engineers and contractors,<br />
supplying a wide range of fans, grilles, diffusers, air<br />
handling and heat recovery products manufactured<br />
by Elta Fans. The original order came from client<br />
Automatic Smoke Ventilation Systems, which<br />
is currently undertaking the ongoing car park<br />

SE Controls provides a breath of fresh air<br />
The Mavis Peart Building is a centre for people<br />
with learning difficulties in Sutton. The building is<br />
provided with mixed-mode, cross-flow ventilation<br />
that is fed through automated windows on one side,<br />
interfaced with low energy VAV ducted extract via<br />
modulating dampers on the other. The window and<br />
damper positions are controlled with temperature,<br />
CO2, wind and rain sensors. Underfloor heating is<br />
installed in each cl<strong>as</strong>sroom. The college’s facilities<br />
management team can monitor the SE Controls<br />
system from anywhere on campus, using networked<br />

Students and staff at Enfield teaching college<br />
in London will be feeling much warmer thanks<br />
to a heating system installed by Weatherite<br />
Building Services. Weatherite <strong>as</strong>sumed full<br />
responsibility for the supply and installation of<br />
a Buderus g<strong>as</strong> condensing boiler, two Grundfos<br />
circulation pumps, plus a new flue system from<br />
the boiler house to the roof and all <strong>as</strong>sociated<br />
building and electrical work. The boiler will<br />
reduce the college’s energy bill and contribute<br />
to its environmental credentials.<br />
