Connect the water supply. Caution: if possible, do not exceed the maximum water pressure of 3 bar.
Connect the core drill to the mains via FI protection and 6 h coded CEE plug. Use only extension cables
with protective conductor and adequate cross-section. Too low cross sections may lead to excessive power
loss and cause motor and cable overheating. An extension cable should be secured with an overload cutoff
switch. Recommended cable cross sections:

The motor is water-cooled. Therefore, make sure to provide sufficient cold water during the drilling
operation. The machine must be operated with at least 1/2 liter water per minute at full load. Use only pure
tap water, no dirty water or sewage, otherwise the heat transfer at the cooling surfaces is no longer
ensured and the motor may be damaged irreparably. Adapt the feed to the core bit diameter and to the
driving power of the core drill so as not to exceed the rated current.
5.3 Gear change
Warning
Change the gear without ever applying force and only when the machine is
slowing down or standing still.
To change into the next higher or lower gear, move the gear change lever by an angle
of approx. 30° (WX10, WX10 E) or 180° (MX10). If necessary (if the gear is difficult to
engage), turn the drive spindle briefly by hand until the gear engages easily. Do not use any auxiliary tools
(pliers, hammer, etc.) to change the gear, since otherwise gear damage is unavoidable.
5.4 Safety slip coupling
The slip coupling reacts only in case of extreme mechanical shocks (for instance tool jamming). In this
case, the motor is shuts down automatically and the overload indicator will display a red light. If the
overload indicator displays a green light after a few seconds, you may continue working. In case the slip
coupling sets in before the rated speed drops (motor overturning moment), it should be replaced by an
authorized service workshop.
In the case of the ORCA AX10 and MX10 driving machines, the overload indication is displayed exclusively
on the Powerbox.
5.5 Infinitely variable speed control
You may steplessly adapt the rotational speed to the required cutting
speed both in the first and in the second gear of the machine. In the
process, the torque behaviour will be approximately constant
