Radio Shows that Spotlight Local Musicians
"Local" is a relative term. For some stations, "Local" is defined as any artist who lives within the
city limits. Others consider "Local" to be anyone that lives within the listening area. There are
many shows that consider "Local" to be musicians from anywhere within the state, province or
territory, while others consider "Local" to be artists from the host country. If you're not sure
whether you qualify for airplay with a particular show, get in touch with the station (or host) and
in most cases they will happily respond and clarify what they consider to be "Local" talent.
