Steven Ongena is a Professor in Empirical Banking at CentER - Tilburg University<br />
in the Netherlands and a CEPR Research Fellow in financial economics. His research<br />
interests include firm-bank relationships, bank mergers and acquisitions, and financial<br />
systems.<br />
José-Luis Peydró is an Associate Professor (with Tenure) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra,<br />
an Affiliate Professor at Barcelona GSE, and an Economist in the European Central<br />
Bank. His research interests are in banking, macro-prudential policy, financial crises,<br />
monetary policy, international finance and macro-finance.<br />
