Coquitlam Dam Seismic Upgrade Project ... - BC Hydro

• Assist in spill cleanup if necessary;
• Collect water samples for site control testing; analysis will include but not be limited to; pH,
turbidity (NTU), total suspended solids (TSS), oil and grease (mg/l).
• Oversee contractor cleanup and restoration activities;
• Monitor contractor work activities on a daily basis;
• Contact approval agencies (i.e. DFO, MWLAP) in the event of an environmental incident or
development of unforeseen site conditions with potential for serious environmental
degradation;
• Be on call should an emergency arise requiring the Environmental Monitor’s assistance;
• Prepare correspondence as required;
• Maintain detailed Project records including authorizations, EMP, EPP, permits, diaries and
photographs;
• Prepare weekly environmental inspection reports; and
• Prepare a stand alone end-of-job environmental report within 60 days of contract completion.
5.0 SCHEDULE
Schedule of this project is contingent on the project approvals from regulatory agencies.
Currently, the construction of the project is scheduled to start in fall 2004 and be completed in
November 2006. Following is a list of anticipated dates for major project components:
