Euler Hermes helps the business development of companies of all sizes, from SMEs to multinationals, by securing and optimising the management of their trade receivables. This long-term relationship is underpinned by the group’s market leading position in credit insurance. THE EXPERTISE OF A GLOBAL LEADER Euler Hermes, the world’s leading credit insurance company with a market share of 36%*, plays a key role in facilitating its clients’ business growth. Its insurance policies protect businesses against the risk of insolvency of their customers, both in their domestic and export markets. By enabling businesses to secure their cash flow, Euler Hermes goes much further than merely controlling customer risk. It contributes to the development of a business by using all its skills to create value in the context of a lasting partnership. In 2007, more than 56,000 companies worldwide placed their trust in the group’s credit insurance policies. These policies are underpinned by three main elements: mitigation of business risk, debt collection and indemnification of losses. The first is the centrepiece of Euler Hermes’ strategy. To fulfil its role of risk mitigation, the group monitors and analyses the financial statements of approximately 40 million businesses around the world.
