Environmental Report
The flows of raw materials used
and by-products produced form
the "metabolism" of a production
company and are every bit as
indispensable for it as is its metabolism
to an animal or a plant.
The photography in this report
presents the EnBW’s inputs and
outputs using special lighting
effects.
Title page:
When the exhaust gases are
“scrubbed”, gypsum is formed
which is used in the building
industry as a secondary raw
material. Generating 1 kWh of
electricity in a coal-fired power
station produces 13 g of gypsum.
This gypsum has been awarded
the “Environmental Blue Angel”.
