Attendance is limited to current SEG representatives. If you have a community matter that you would like discussed<br />

please contact a SEG representative. If you feel a key stakeholder group is not represented, please contact the<br />

Newlands Coal Environment & Community Section (details below).<br />

The SEG is not a public forum for complaints. As per Newland Coal procedures, all complaints relating to Newlands<br />

Coal, must be addressed as soon as possible, through established communication channels (via key contacts<br />

below):<br />

The SEG started in 2009 and was developed to provide a forum for open discussion between representatives of<br />

Newlands Coal and key stakeholder groups on issues directly relating to the mine’s operations and health, safety,<br />

environment and community performance. It is intended to be a life of mine forum with meetings held twice per year.<br />

Meeting minutes are recorded and circulated to members within a week of the meeting. All actions will be document,<br />

tracked and discussed at the following meeting.<br />

Newlands Coal would like to thank the voluntary members of the SEG and their commitment to maintaining a strong<br />

working relationship.<br />
