Nebo and Glenden
Nebo and Glenden residents celebrated “What’s Great” about Australia on the 26
January at the Glenden Bowls Club. Isaac Regional Council CEO Mark Crawley was
the MC for the day with Area 1 Councillor Dale Appleton presenting the awards. Joanne Coyne led the
National Anthem singing with everyone joining in true Aussie spirit. Marcelle Hare, the Glenden IRC
Youth Ambassador spoke fondly of why it’s great to be Australian, and we thank Marcelle and the Deb
Ball fundraisers for the delicious lunchtime BBQ. The Glenden Bowls Club hosted a family fun Bowls
Competition and a great time was had by all. Congratulations to all our Glenden and Nebo nominees
and award winners.
