HiQ ® specialty gas program – Biotech, chemical, petrochemical & pharmaceutical
Services
used both in the relevant country and across borders. All gas products
are quality controlled. Where applicable, an analysis certificate
is included in the product. If not included, it can be requested separately.
Please check with your local Linde office to find out what
is applicable for the products you order.
Name Prod. code
HiQ ® Analysis certificate (Certified standard) 2921
Explanations on the HiQ ® Analysis Certificate
1 The date when the certificate was written, the beginning of the
shelf life
2 Identification of the HiQ ® Certificate
3 Type of HiQ ® certificate e.g., “Certificate of Analysis,”
“Certificate of Conformity”, etc.
4 HiQ ® product name and code when applicable
5 Comments on the table
– the unit can be given either in mole, volume or weight
– the uncertainty refers to the analysis of each component
and is relative
– if an absolute uncertainty is given it is In the column
“Analysis result” (for instance 202 ± 4 ppm)
6 Confidence level is the probability of the analysis result falling
between the uncertainty limits
7 The blend tolerance of a gas mixture specifies how close to the
ordered concentration the final concentration must fall
8 Following the temperature recommendation improves safety
and helps to keep the gas mixture homogeneous
9 The component concentrations will remain within the limits
stated in the analysis result down to the recommended minimum
pressure of use
10 Use before: In a correctly handled cylinder the component concentrations
will remain within the limits stated in the analysis
result during the stated shelf life
Calibration certificate
National borders no longer define today’s environment. Pollutions
are monitored on regional and even global scale. This requires that
the results from the monitoring systems shall not only be comparable,
but also mutually acceptable. Governments use accreditation
as an instrument in these regulatory issues. Also in trading of
goods, a confident and trustful base is needed to qualify and quantify
the value of the traded goods. Accreditation is widely accepted
as a tool to address issues like competence and reliability.
Calibration certificates are used as a base to facilitate easy trading.
Reference material with a calibration certificate is analyzed at a laboratory
that has accredited analysis methods for the components
and ranges in question.
Several Linde facilities have such accredited analysis methods, especially
for components and ranges used for environmental surveillance.
Linde laboratories are accredited as calibration laboratories.
Further, several facilities are accredited as testing laboratories
to facilitate analytical services.
The reference materials prepared by these production facilities
are acknowledged as standard reference material by e.g., CAI,
COFRAC, DAR, ENAC, RVA, SWEDAC, UKAS and many others.
These products are in accordance with ISO 17025. An accreditation
proves that the laboratory is competent to perform a certain
analysis. The competence of the laboratory is decisive for the accreditation,
and to achieve an accreditation it is mandatory to have
a quality system. Linde specialty gas plants are ISO 9000 certified.
