What Are My Options for the International Experience?<br />

Globalization is today. Employers want our graduates to understand culture & diversity and to have had firsthand<br />

exposure. A global experience is required for graduation for all <strong>Clarkson</strong> <strong>Business</strong> students. We <strong>of</strong>fer two<br />

options: semester exchange and short term faculty led trips.<br />

Type <strong>of</strong> Travel Semester Exchange Short-term Faculty led trips<br />

When ? Usually done junior year Anytime after your freshmen year<br />

Length <strong>of</strong> Experience 4-5 months 2-3 weeks<br />

Cost Regular tuition is paid to <strong>Clarkson</strong>. $3,500 - $4,000<br />

Financial aid is not affected. Students Includes: airfare, ground transport,<br />

are expected to pay for passport/visa accommodations, breakfast, company visits,<br />

fees, airfare, food, housing & extra local lectures, social/cultural activities,<br />

excursions. administrative fees & identity card.<br />

Excludes: passport fee, most meals, special<br />

excursions & personal expenses.<br />

Earned Credits Courses are approved for transfer before 3-credits (Univ 399) counted as a <strong>University</strong><br />

before departure. If students plan Course that satisfies knowledge areas:<br />

correctly, the abroad semester will not Cultures and Societies (CS) and<br />

affect graduation date. Contemporary Global Issues (CGI)<br />

Each program requires students to attend a<br />

1 hour pre-course once a week for the<br />

duration <strong>of</strong> the semester before the trip.<br />

Visit our Fall International Fair! Each fall the <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> hosts an informational session to highlight<br />

all <strong>of</strong> the International program <strong>of</strong>ferings that are <strong>of</strong>fered through the Career Center and faculty led trips for the<br />

upcoming year. The Career Center will also host information sessions about our semester exchange options.<br />
