SB310 – <strong>Clarkson</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Experience: Internship Credits: (0)<br />
Project-based pr<strong>of</strong>essional internship experience in business, related to student career interests and/or field <strong>of</strong><br />
study. Completion <strong>of</strong> course requires CUSB approval <strong>of</strong> post-internship assessment by student and employer.<br />
Students can complete this internship during the spring, summer, or fall semester. Offered Pass/No Credit.<br />
Prerequisites: Sophomore standing, consent <strong>of</strong> the instructor.<br />
• As a general rule, students are expected to work at least 150 hours towards this experience.<br />
• Please submit all documents to your academic advisor.<br />
• You are required to register for SB 310 in the semester following your experience.<br />
• All supervisor assessments must be signed or sent via e-mail directly to advisor from supervisor.<br />
• All submissions are expected to be pr<strong>of</strong>essionally written with no spelling or grammatical errors.<br />
Documents that are poorly written or those which contain errors will not be accepted.<br />

2. Instances where you were required to learn new knowledge and/or skills effectively on your own. What was this experience<br />
like? Why is this important?<br />
3. Examples <strong>of</strong> leadership skills including, to the extent possible: goal setting, change management, ethical behavior, and<br />
providing actionable feedback. Describe each <strong>of</strong> these and discuss your reactions to seeing these occur in the workplace. What<br />
happened? What were the results <strong>of</strong> these actions? How can you incorporate what you saw with your managerial style?<br />
4. Examples where you built teamwork skills such as building effective relationships with peers, being a collaborative team<br />
member, and identifying and managing team conflict. What were the differences and similarities <strong>of</strong> these team experiences in<br />
comparison to what you have seen in school?<br />
5. Examples <strong>of</strong> where you observed co-workers providing service to the <strong>University</strong>, to the community, or to the pr<strong>of</strong>ession. What<br />
were the costs and benefits <strong>of</strong> the service activities you observed?<br />
