Hybrid Tea Rose. 1988. 3ft.
The beauty of this rose lies in the outstanding quality of the flowers,
which open from long buds to classically shaped large flowered
blooms with high centres, surrounded by broad reflexing petals.
They are rich apricot-yellow with pink veining, with reddish salmon
tints on the outer petals.
There is a prolific first flush of blooms which is followed by plenty
more blooms throughout the summer and autumn.
An excellent rose for bedding and for cutting as the blooms last
well.
The plant has a bushy upright habit and plenty of glossy mid green
foliage.
Pleasing Spicy Perfume.
Named after the distinguished Scottish actor of "Porridge" fame.

The blooms can come singly or in clusters in a strong upright bush.
The bush is well furnished with dark green glossy foliage which has
good disease resistance.

A superb and very popular rose.
A gorgeous confection of cream, pink and peach.
When the frilly blooms are fully open they have a lovely old
fashioned look and resemble a carnation.
There are more blooms on this rose than the average HT.
Flowers from early summer right through until the autumn
or the first frost.
Makes quite a statement in the garden and very eye catching.
