FRAGRANT SURPRISE (Harverag)
Hybrid Tea Rose. 1988. 3ft.
A lovely award winning modern hybrid tea with very unusual coloured
blooms of pink, orange and yellow blends.
Quite a showy rose and a real eye catcher that is an excellent rose
for the garden and looks stunning in a group.
Mid green healthy semi glossy foliage.
The blooms are borne singly and in clusters.
The blooms are ideal for cutting as they last well in water and fill a
room with their exceptional perfume.
Flowers right through the season plus a very good show in autumn
and has good disease resistance.
A very popular rose which for some strange reason is known under
numerous names.
Highly Scented.
Also known as "Lawrence Of Arabia" "Samaritan" " King Arthur"
"English Sonnet"
AWARDS
Orleans Rose d'Or 1990.
Baden Baden Silver Medal 1992.
FREEDOM (Dicjem)
Hybrid Tea Rose. 1984. 3ft-4ft.
'Freedom' has very well formed, fragrant, large blooms with 35 petals.
The colour is a rich chrome yellow, probably inherited from its parent
'Bright Smile'
Flower production is excellent and repeats very quickly between flushes.
The quality and quantity of blooms on this rose never ceases to amaze
each year and it nearly always sells out once it comes into flower.
The healthy foliage is mid green and glossy on a medium growing bush.
This very popular award winning rose is an outstanding bedding rose and
can also make a superb hedge. Good fragrance,
Yet another beautiful rose bred by Dickson's of N.Ireland.
Royal National Rose Society Gold Medal 1983
Glasgow Certificate Of Merit 1989
GARDEN QUEEN (Korbilant)
Hybrid Tea Roses
Hybrid Tea Rose. 2001. 3ft-4ft
A wonderful new hybrid tea rose with enormous blooms of striking magenta
pink.
The stunning large booms flower very freely throughout the summer.
Makes a magnificent bedding rose in the garden with the added bonus of a superb
fragrance.
The fragrance has been described by the grower as "probably the most fragrant
of all roses" That is a very bold claim but in our experience he is not far
wrong. So far seems very healthy with good disease resistance.
This looks a wonderful rose for the exhibitors. Highly recomended.
Launched by Mattocks Roses in conjunction with Chamos the British lingerie
manufacturers.
Also known as 'Buxom Beauty'
